In spite of his reclusive nature, I was surprised at just how little notice has been paid to the recent passing of J.D. Salinger. I maintain that the only way to not love "The Catcher in the Rye" is to either never have read it, or never have been a teenager.

Great book, and it should be mandatory reading for anyone. One of those rare instances where an author only ever has to write one book to be called a legend.

We'll miss you, Mr. Salinger.
